Experience, Expertise & Trust: Eye Medics

We stress the importance of receiving yearly comprehensive eye exams – starting at the age of 6 months old.
This enables our optometrists to monitor for abnormal changes such as glaucoma, dry eyes, progressive myopia, convergence insufficiency, strabismus, accommodative infacility and other learning related vision problems that often lead to poor reading, writing and academic achievement in children.

      Frequently Asked Questions

The sleepSEE system, and Orthokeratology in general, is not FDA-approved for post-LASIK/PRK vision restoration. Very few eye doctors nationwide provide orthokeratology services to their post-surgical clients. But, as you can see from our online Google Reviews, a large number of people are very happy with their sight after using the sleepSEE system.

You could. But why do surgery on a healthy eye when there is a safer, nonsurgical alternative? The sleepSEE system uses FDA approved contact lenses that are clinically proven to slow down myopia/nearsighted progression in children – and at half the cost of LASIK/PRK!

      Β

The first step is to determine if you are a good candidate for sleepSEE vision correction. This involves scheduling a one-on-one consultation with our eye care provider. (Note: Please discontinue soft contact lens wear at least two weeks prior to your consultation. If you are wearing rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses, please discontinue lens wear at least four weeks prior to consultation.

No vision correction procedure – sleepSEE, LASIK, Ortho-K, PRK – canΒ guaranteedΒ your sight will be permanently corrected.

Our sleepSEE system uses a type of reverse geometry contact lens (RGP) that gently reshapes the front part of your eye (cornea). Once the lenses are removed, over time your corneas will return to their original shape. And since there is no surgery (cutting/burning) involved, this procedure is ideal for children, which makes parents feel at ease when enrolling their child into the sleepSEE ortho-k program.

In most cases, yes. However, some clients only wear their sleepSEE lenses every other night – or every third night – and still maintain clear vision throughout the entire day.

In most cases, yes. However, some clients only wear their sleepSEE lenses every other night – or every third night – and still maintain clear vision throughout the entire day.

With proper lens care (cleaning and handling), your sleepSEE system lenses should last up to two years without any significant reduction in the quality of your sight.

(Note: This excludes any overall changes in your prescription/refractive error or broken/lost lenses.)

At this time, we do not accept insurances to cover the cost of sleepSEE. But, we do accept payment options such as CareCredit and Flex Spending Plans. See our CareCredit payment link here.

Our sleepSEE system combines the art and science of Orthokeratology, Vision Therapy and Environmental modifications to not only correct your vision, but more importantly control the progression of myopia in children. Years of experience has shown us that vision the development of vision is strongly determined, in large part, to the environment.

If your vision is not satisfactory within 30 days after your initial program enrollment date, just return your Ortho-K lenses and 100% of your program fee will be refunded. (NOTE: evaluation/consultation fees are non-refundable.)
